Daneshmand et al. v. City of San Juan Capistrano

In January 2016, a lawsuit was filed by three individuals (Plaintiffs) against the City of San Juan Capistrano over the water rates in effect between February 1, 2010 and June 30, 2014. That lawsuit is filed as a proposed class action and asks the Court to require the City to refund its water customers for alleged overcharges during that time. The lawsuit also challenges the sufficiency of the City’s repayment of portions of those water rates in 2015. The City denies that Plaintiffs are entitled to a refund.
